Plot your portfolio onto the Kano model

You have a portfolio of projects. Some are game changers. Some keep the lights on. Some are exploratory.  Why don't you try plotting them onto Noriaka Kano's model above and see what you learn?

Maybe you need to shift your investment weighting.  Maybe you are unsure of the depth of features or quality in a project and need to unpack it.

I'd love to hear your thoughts after doing this.

  1. Hi Craig, I haven't done this step back for a while. Thanks for the prompt.

I work witha number of projects at various stages from market testing through to mature & stable.

I'd love to get more on the top end of the matrix, but wouldn't we all!!

  2. Yep. And as a colleague keeps saying to me you need to get the basics right before you go off and try the fancy stuff.

I think that topic is about accounting for technical debt.
