How to Close a project

This is the fourth part of a 5 part series on kicking off a project. It's a basic check-list of things to consider. The purpose of sharing this is to point you in the right direction to get started. The series starts here.

You have hopefully delivered results on an ongoing basis and don’t need to check whether your project worked at this stage... but you might have to check whether you are on track or have achieved your benefits.
  • Celebrate successes with your team, sponsor and key stakeholders
  • Ensure any lessons learned along the way are shared as widely across the organisation as possible
  • Close out contracts with suppliers and do any organisational admin to close the project
Simple, really!

Next post will be some practice techniques and activities you can use for your first project.
