Perks’ 1st Law of IT Integration
Tuesday, 6 October 2009
This was new to me;
IT components that are not designed to fit together and form a working system only do fit together by chance.
I found it in a slide deck called The sins of IT projects and why they fail (some times) by Maurice Perks. It has an accompanying video also.
It also has this quote by Charles Darwin;
It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change

Hi Craig, I attended Maurice Perks' lecture where he set out these laws and it was really interesting. This was my favourite law as well!
