Global Competency Standards for Project Managers

A paper has been published looking and standardising performance criteria for Project Managers. Standard performance criteria should provide a bseline for measuring the quality of a project manager's work, which in turn should reflect the quality of project outcomes.

The purpose of the Global Performance Based Standards for Project Management Personnel initiative is to develop an agreed competency standards framework that can be used by businesses, academic institutions, professional associations, and government standards and qualifications bodies globally. This framework will form the basis for review, development, and recognition of local standards and will thereby provide a sound basis for mutual recognition and transferability of project management qualifications.

The public review for the GPBSPMP Global Level 1 and 2 is now underway

Another clue in the search ofr quality tools for PMs.
